Iran Coach, Carlos Querioz yesterday, trimmed his Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup squad to 24, dropping striker, Mohammadreza Khalatbari, who qualified the country for the mundial.
The list published on the Iran Football Federation website would be made public today. Iran’s final squad was delayed due to a medical report on defender, Hashem Beykzadeh, who sustained a calf injury in a warm up match against Montenengro. According to the federation, even if injured Beykzadeh is declared fit by the doctors, his potential replacement Mohammad Khanzadeh of Zob Ahan Isfahan will also travel with the team to Brazil.
Iran is in Group F against Nigeria, Argentina and Bosina-Herzegovina.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi would name his final squad of 23 players that would execute the World Cup for Nigeria.
