Fire guts Girls Hostel at University of Benin, No students injured

This evening by 5pm, a room at Hall 2 girls hostel in the University of Benin was gutted by fire, trapping three female students. One of the students, almost got burnt before she was recuse by her fellow room mate. Students in the hostel said what really helped her was that there was a lot of water around them, no fire extinguisher, no sand and there was only one exit from the building. Students were seen trying to jump from the 4th and 5th floor of the hostel, even the ones the fire wasn't close to. Thankfully no death was recorded, Students said the fire was caused by faulty electrical connections in the hostel and are blaming the school authority...
