Osun election won’t have bearing on Ogun

Former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has declared that whatever the outcome of the governorship election holding in Osun State today, won’t have any bearing in Ogun in 2015 because the people of the state have already taken a decision. Otunba Daniel made the declaration at the launching and public presentation of a book: ‘Across Decades’, a selected thought of Sina Kawonise, his commissioner for Information during his reign as governor of the state. The former governor who was also the chairman of the occasion, held at the Airport Hotel, Lagos stated that he had reviewed the credentials of all the aspirants jostling to be the next governor of Ogun state and found them worthy to rule the state. “All the aspirants jostling to be the next governor of Ogun state are better than this current governor, they are all capable to rule the state because they have clue of what governance is all about and...
my best commissioner during my tenure, Kawonise is among them.
“This current governor of the state has no clue of what governance is all about, the aim of this current administration is either to destroy whatever be the legacy of Daniel in the state or to amend it in order to erase my name.
“Despite all their efforts, they are yet to surpass our achievements in every sector. During our reign, it was not a hidden fact the position Ogun State used to occupy but now things are different, our policy on agriculture is among the things that made us popular, ask them now, what have they achieved? Look at what they are claiming to be spending on road construction compared to what we spent on the same project, all their policies were anti masses”, he said. Daniel who was a two term governor of the state, under the platform of Peoples Democratic Power (PDP) but recently joined Labour Party (LP).
