4 die in boat mishap, I6 rescued

No fewer than four persons died while 16 others were rescued at the weekend, when a boat capsized at Dosumu water park in Victoria Island, Lagos. The  boat with  inscription, “Obodo I”  was conveying 20passengers from Okera Ila in Eti-Osa Local government area to Bayeku in Ikorodu Local Government hit an object and sank at Dosumu water front. Daily Sun gathered that 16 of the passengers were rescued while four persons died. Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ngozi Braide, con
firmed the number of death and those rescued in  the incident. The PPRO said that” the corpses of the other four who got drowned have been recovered and deposited at a Lagos General Hospital mortuary for autopsy,” adding that the incident was still being  investigated by the  Marine Police Station.
