Boko Haram kills 2 policemen in Bauchi

Barely one week after gunmen killed three policemen in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, armed men invaded the area again, killing two policemen.Suspected Boko Haram insurgents killed the policemen at a mining station at Magama Gumau. Our correspon
dent gathered that within the last seven days, gunmen had killed about five policemen in the same fashion.
According to a security source,  “after they shot their victims to death, the suspects took away their guns and escaped.”
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Mohammed Haruna, said: “I heard of the killing of two policemen, but I am yet to get the details. As soon as I do, I will let you know about the true situation and other developments.”
A resident of Magama Gumau, Malam Dauda Yake, told newsmen that with the insecurity in the area, people no longer slept with their two eyes closed.
He expressed fear that civilians might be the next target of the attack.
He, therefore, appealed to the Federal and state governments to come to their rescue to avoid the extension of the insurgency in Borno State to Bauchi State.
