Is it not said by wise men of old that it is a privilege to
behold a king? What about seeing a king and a governor? “The event is
better witnessed than narrated.”One would say. Indeed it was a celebration of glamour at the King’s
College Founder’s Day recently. Culture, civility and values met and
embraced. Of course, the anniversary was a re-play of the best of the
prestigious Boys’ school and reminiscence of good old days but the
highlight of the 105th annual Founder’s Day Dinner in Dorchester
Events Centre, Lekki, Lagos, was the presence of the Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness, Muhammadu Sanusi II Lamido. Other celebrities include the Chairman of Etisalat, Hakeem Bello-Osagie, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo and his erstwhile beauty queen wife, Ibidun. Emir Sanusi Lamido had attained the peak of his banking career as the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria and afterwards became a king.
