Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, yesterday assured the youths and womenfolk that 50 per cent of appointments and job opportunities would be reserved  for them to ensure they contribute to the development and growth of the nation. red that priority attention would be accorded youths and women in terms of appointments in his government if voted in as president next year. The former VP solicited for votes for the APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Bindow Umaru Jibrilla, in the October 11 rerun election to enable him deliver the dividends of democracy to Adamawa people. He said the APC government would ensure holistic approach to the transformation of the country as well as human capital, infrastructural and socio-economic development, where every Nigerian  will have access to  social amenities. Abubakar also assured Nigerians of rule of law, social and food security, which have eluded them ever since the PDP-led state and Federal Government came on board. According to him, the youths in the country have not been well carried along by the PDP led government, promising to change the trend if given the APC presidential ticket when elected the president of Nigeria next year. “Nigerian youths and women are critical to the socio-conomic growth and development and growth of the country. We are assuring them of important place in appointments and job opportunities” he said Also speaking at the campaign ground, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Bindow Umaru Jibrilla promised equity, fairness and respect to the positive criticism of his government if voted in as the Adamawa electorate.
