…Ladipo sues for Shalom

The Nigeria Football Supporters Club has made a passionate appeal to all involved in
the current crisis rocking the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to sheath their swords and allow the Amaju Pinnick led board complete their tenure.
In the same vein, the club also urged Pinnick to extend an olive branch to all aggrieved members of the football fraternity to enable peace reign in the football family. President General of the club, Rafiu Ladipo said yesterday that it is regrettable that while other countries are working to develop their football, Nigerian football administrators are engaged in endless bickering which he noted contributed to the Super Eagles failure to qualify for AFCON 2015 tournament. He warned that if the in-fighting was allowed to continue, the 2017 AFCON qualifiers would also be jeopardized. “We (members of the supporters club) are worried about the leadership crisis in NFF and we want all combatants to allow peace reign in the football house because Amaju Pinnick was duly elected as President of NFF.
“It beats our imagination that after four out of five members of the electoral appeal committee endorsed the election, some people are bent on using a minority report to cancel the entire election which is an aberration.”
“Our special appeal goes to such people as Taiwo Ogunjobi, Amanze Uchegbulam, Alhaji Shehu Diko, Alhaji Aba Yola, Chief Mike Umeh, Dominic Iorfa and others to sheath their swords and allow peace reign in the Glass House as well as appeal to Pinnick to extend a hand of fellowship to them in order to move the country’s football forward.”
Ladipo while lamenting the inability of Super Eagles to qualify for Equatorial Guinea 2015 noted that his members will lose tremendously from Nigeria’s non participation in next year’s AFCON.
“Members of the club are saddened that they will not be going to Equatorial Guinea to give their support to the Super Eagles and we pray such does not happen again. Many of them have run into great losses because they had prepared T-shirts, souvenirs, Nigeria flags and other items which they were supposed to sell in Malabo but all these are now a waste”, he lamented.
